We are beyond thrilled to announce we have officially wrapped on our biggest Irish TV production to date; youth drama series ‘Louise Lives Large’!

The series is created and written by Carol Walsh, directed by Ruth Treacy and Laura Van Haecke, and co-written by Richie Conroy and Sian Ni Mhuiri.

‘Louise Lives Large’ is an Irish-Belgian-Canadian co-production and our first international collaboration for television, made possible through the collaborative efforts of ourselves at Tailored Films, Polar Bear (BE), Storyhouse (BE), Ketnet (BE), and Verite Films (CA), financed with the support of RTE, Screen Ireland, Coimisiún na Meán, Creative Europe, the Irish Tax Credit, Canadian Provincial and Federal Tax Credit, Ketnet, the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF) and the Tax shelter of the Belgian federal government via Flanders Tax Shelter.

The series was filmed on location in Celbridge, Co. Kildare with our emerging cast of young stars, in addition to the talents of Camille Lucy Ross, Joren Seldeslachts, Jade Jordan, Maura Foley, Gus McDonagh and Brendan McCormack fulfilling the roles of our adult characters.

We are delighted by how well the eight week shoot went and can see the combined efforts of our talented cast and crew paying off tremendously in the current assembly.

The show follows the inspiring journey of newly cancer-free teen Louise Edgar as she embarks on a mission to make up for lost time, completing the items on her ‘live large’ list with the help of her new pal and school outsider Jess. Together, the girls tackle the highs and lows of early teenagehood alongside their friends – Jess’ twin brother Rob, school heartthrob Oisin, class clown Spud, and new girl Daisy. However, Louise’s ex-best friend – popular ‘mean girl’ Faith, feels jilted and is determined to put an end to Louise’s budding friendship with Jess, threatening to expose a secret Jess is struggling with. With Louise’s world about to be rocked once more by some scary news, can both girls find solace in the power of their friendship and finally ‘live large’?

We’re counting down the days until ‘Louise Lives Large’ graces television screens in 2024 and can’t wait to share Louise’s story with you.
